YFDAI 2022 Roadmap

Dear Community,

2021 was in many ways an amazing year with wider crypto adoption and the growth of DeFi and some incredible innovation in the form of projects like Olympus with Ohm signalling a move toward Defi 2.0.

While we appreciate that things move very quickly in this space it has also become apparent that the rapid pace set by market expectations has some more serious side effects. The YFDAI team will be the first to acknowledge that the achievement of our vision and goals have not always met the high expectations we set for ourselves and our community and we know that we need to do better.

YFDAI have spent the past 3 months consolidating, rebuilding and focusing on how we can achieve our ambitious vision with a leaner and more focused team of volunteers. We still firmly believe in our ethos of transparency and trust and with plans to further expand our DAO governance structure, we are intent on providing YFDAI stakeholders and volunteers the opportunity to become more and more involved in both the direction of the project and in critical project decisions.

The YFDAI roadmap will outline the top level features and products which we are working on. We will break this down beyond the product or feature into outcomes and benefits as well as sharing key targets and ultimately when we expect these things to happen.

Every new product development is structured around 3 main phases, each varying in length, complexity and human capital allocation based on the ultimate outcome we are optimizing for:

1. Product Discovery: A user-centric, experiment-driven, and collaborative product management framework that helps us discover the product that supports our project’s mission and community needs, while identifying the key technical and user experience requirements.
2. Product Versioning: An effective product planning framework to allow us to continuously iterate on our product releases, so to constantly improve both the user experience and the business value delivered to our community.
3. Product Delivery: A robust and scalable product implementation structure that our community can depend on for consistency, accessibility and availability in accessing our product solutions and the value they generate.
